As much as we adore our beloved Yorkshire, it’s great to explore what our fellow foodies from further afield are tucking into!
So we took a trip over to Manchester, home to Coronation Street, the Hacienda and birthplace of the Industrial Revolution to see what Mancs are mad for!

First stop Pollen Bakery, a Northern Quarter institution that took brunch to another level, with standout sandwiches packed with flavour and texture. Our tastebuds were dancing over the Pork Shoulder Bun with chimichurri and apple sauce. And Panisse Breakfast Buns with a crispy chickpea patty and mushroom ketchup were divine.

Next up was the unassuming but oh-so-satisfying Fat Pat’s. A tiny hole in the wall serving up massive flavour. We were mightily impressed with loaded subs filled with hot honey fried chicken or Philly cheesesteak. They certainly lived up to their motto, ‘changing the sarnie game one sando at a time’.

And finally raising the stakes was Rack, home to the Mexican Beef Birria and BBBLT (yes, that’s right, triple bacon!). They say life is better with sandwiches, and after these guilty pleasures, we couldn’t agree more.
